Delivery Policy

DELIVERY OPTIONS:

 

COLLECTION

All goods can be collected, at no charge, from our factory, during working hours.  Time frames will be arranged during the confirmation process and verified on receipt of the 50% deposit.

 

  • Pick up will be arranged on weekdays; Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm.  The factory is not open on weekends or public holidays.

  • If you are paying by internet banking, you will need to allow sufficient time for the funds to be cleared before your order is accepted for pickup.

  • The invoice or order number must be presented for pick up. Upon receiving an order, it is the customer’s responsibility to check and make sure the goods match the purchase order and that there is no damage BEFORE signing the docket.

  • By signing the docket, the customer acknowledges that the goods match the purchase order. Goods are then considered “accepted” and do not have a quality issue.

  • Factory collection orders are loaded by the customer themselves into their vehicle to avoid any disputes of damage. It is at the warehouse team's discretion to assist with loading.

  • If for any reason the goods are not picked up on the agreed day, FMT reserves the right to charge storage fees based on the duration of time held.

 

DELIVERY

We will provide a cost for delivery / freight once we receive your order through the quote cart. The cost will depend on the size of the order and the area for delivery.  Currently, we only service the Taranaki region.

  • If you are paying by internet banking, you will need to allow sufficient time for the funds to be cleared before your order is accepted for delivery.

  • Delivery times depend on company scheduling so will vary depending on your location and the timing and size of your order.

  • Cabinets are delivered to the gate ONLY.  It is the customer's responsibility to arrange a transfer into the home.

  • If customers are not home during the agreed delivery window, delivery will not take place and a second delivery fee will be charged.

  • It is the client’s responsibility to ensure adequate site access for delivered goods. If this has not been done and the carrier is required to return to site at another time, an additional charge may incur.

  • Delivery charges within Taranaki will be calculated and charged as a separate item and will include GST. Delivery will be by a carrier chosen by FMT and is non-refundable.

  • The buyer shall inspect the goods on delivery and shall within 7 days notify FMT of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage, or failure to comply with the description or quote. The buyer shall afford FMT the opportunity to inspect the goods within a reasonable time following delivery. If the buyer fails to comply with these provisions the goods shall be deemed to be in accordance with the terms and conditions and free from defect or damage.

  • If goods are signed for without any notes, it is assumed that everything is delivered and in perfect condition.

  • Any delay in the delivery of goods will not entitle the customer to cancel the contract or to refuse to accept delivery. In no circumstances is FMT liable for failure to deliver on time.

  • Flat pack deliveries: It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that they can be placed in an area where no damage will occur to the order.

  • All goods must be checked before signing the delivery docket.

  • If at the discretion of FMT there appears to be a defect or failure with the goods or failure to comply with the description, then FMT may repair or replace the goods. If we are unable to replace goods, we will offer you the choice of a credit or a refund.

 

ARRANGING YOUR OWN SHIPPING

You can organise your own freight company to collect.  Orders are only suitable for 'furniture freight' not 'general freight'.  Please note that this will be at your own risk, we will not provide any insurance or replacement for goods damaged by shipping.

 

GENERAL

Occasionally, an item you want may not be in stock with us and will take a bit longer to ship because we need to order it from our supplier first. If for whatever reason this does occur, our team will be in touch with you within 10 working days of the order being placed to let you know. Oversize items may be subject to additional delays in delivery times and other delivery requirements.
