Warranty

Flatpack Modular Taranaki Limited (“FMT”) guarantees all cabinetry supplied by them, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship.  FMT provides the following limited warranties to the original purchaser of FMT products purchased on the following terms and conditions:

 

5 YEAR WARRANTY

FMT warrants that it will, at its option, repair or replace any cabinet carcass, doors and panels or laminate benchtops that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or manufacturing process within five (5) years from the date of purchase.

 

LIMITED WARRANTY

FMT warrants that it will, at its option, repair or replace any lift systems, hinges and/or drawer runners, waste bins, laundry bins, pull-outs and sinks that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or workmanship within one (1) year from the date of purchase.  In the event the defective hardware is obsolete or has been discontinued, FMT reserves the right to replace the defective hardware with a current offering. No guarantee of interchangeability is offered.

FMT WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:

  • Products with no proof of purchase

  • Variations in colour or shade

  • Delamination

  • Failure to follow supplied care directions

  • Products which are resold or resupplied or constitute second hand goods

  • Products that have been reinstalled at a location other than the original installation site

  • Damage caused by: transport, installation, storage, misuse, abuse (physical and chemical), accident, improper handling, alteration, modification, repair, customary wear including general colour fading or discolouration or damage due to direct and indirect light, atmospheric conditions, natural events, exposure to excessive loads or usage other than normal personal, domestic or household use.

  • Any related labour costs, damage caused by the warranted part, removal or installation fees, costs for removal of the defective components or for the installation of the replacement parts.

  • FMT does not warrant any consequential, incidental, direct or indirect loss, expense or damage suffered by you or any third party arising from or in relation to the use, installation, performance, or failure of any FMT product.

 

This warranty is not transferable or assignable.

 

HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

To make a claim under this warranty, you must provide a copy of your original proof of purchase and proof of installation to enable us to determine whether your FMT product falls within the warranty and the relevant warranty periods.  We require a full description along with pictures so we can action efficiently and effectively.
